Website design · South Africa

A website should earn its place in the business.

Clear offer. Sensible structure. Useful measurement. Built for established South African businesses that want better enquiries—not another digital ornament.

What Traffic Maven builds

Focused business websites and landing pages that explain the offer, help the right customer act and give management a clearer view of where enquiries come from.

Design starts with the commercial job.

A beautiful website can still be useless. Before choosing colours or layouts, we establish who should visit, what they need to understand, what action matters and how that action will reach the right person inside the business.

The work draws on website experience dating back to 2009, but the objective is not to show off the technology. The objective is to remove doubt and make the next step easier.

What a proper business build covers

  • Offer and information architectureThe right pages, in a logical order, with a clear job for each one.
  • Professional designA clean visual system that suits the business rather than copying this year's template trend.
  • Mobile-first developmentFast, accessible pages that work properly on the phones South African customers actually use.
  • Enquiry pathsForms, calls and WhatsApp actions that reach a named owner and can be followed through.
  • Search foundationsCrawlable content, titles, descriptions, canonical URLs, structured data and a sitemap.
  • MeasurementAnalytics and conversion events scoped around useful business actions.

Rebuild, repair or leave it alone?

Not every old site needs replacing. If the platform is stable, focused changes to the offer, priority pages, speed, tracking and enquiry process may produce a better return than a complete rebuild. The recommendation follows the evidence.

Questions worth answering before requesting quotes

How much does a business website cost?

There is no useful single figure. Published South African ranges put small brochure sites below R10,000 at the entry end and custom business sites around R15,000–R60,000 or more. The useful comparison is scope, content, measurement, integrations and who remains responsible after launch. See the South African website cost guide.

Does the build include copywriting?

Content can be refined from strong client material or scoped as a separate writing requirement. A page cannot perform if the offer remains vague, so content responsibility is agreed before the build starts.

Does it include SEO?

Technical and on-page foundations are included. Ongoing keyword content, digital PR and link acquisition are separate because they continue after launch.

Can you host the site?

Hosting depends on the technology and client requirements. Lightweight sites can be deployed on Cloudflare; content-managed or transactional sites may need a different environment.

The useful question

What must the website help the business do?

Bring the current site, the commercial problem and a rough scope. We will establish whether you need a rebuild, a focused repair or something simpler.
